Customised Sessions
The perfect mix for you
A custom Release session involves both coaching and bodywork in a single session. Typically, an issue might be discussed to deepen conscious understanding and change the patterns running in the mind. Then some bodywork to relax, work out any physical tensions associated with the issue, integrate the changes and continue clarifying the unconscious aspects of the issue.
Benefits of a mixed Release session:
- deepens integration and generalisation of coaching work
- hastens release of physical pain that isn't responding to purely physical work
- enables fresh progress with "stuck" issues - physical or emotional
- gives a beautiful relaxing, grounded, centered completion to a coaching session
Your mind, body and emotions are interlinked.
This is obvious when you think about how stress gives people a literal "pain in the neck", and people breath out in a sigh or a blow when the pressure comes off and they relax.
The whole system can potentially be changed by changing any partof the system.
The caveat with this is that sometimes the system is held in state by one "stubborn" part, despite changes to other parts of the system.
A simple example might be: a person experiencing stress at work could go for a massage. If successful, the relaxed state they are in could mean they think differently about their problem, which ceases to be one. Great! But if their thinking doesnt spontaneously change then those lovely soft shoulders will be wound back up again after 10 minutes back at work...
There is also increasing scientific evidence for what we have instictively known all along: emotions are in some way held in different organs or parts of the body. That is why we say people "vent their spleens" or have a "gut feeling".
Therefore it makes sense to have the flexibility to work with the whole physical-emotional-mental-spiritual person.
Release customised sessions are designed in partnership with you, to be the perfect mix of talk-based coaching and bodywork to ease the associated tensions from your body.
It has been my clinical observation that this significantly deepens the process for the client, who often experiences a deep calm as non-verbal or non-conscious aspects of their issue are released. They often get further insights into their issue as they stop processing it consciously and let the intelligence of their system get on with organizing itself to match the insights attained during the coaching phase.
At the very least, it is wonderful to feel a body relaxed, grounded and refreshed after a coaching session, to better support you on your journey!
